Meet Farmer Donna

DeLaTerre Permaculture Farm is a 43-acre family farm in Eros, Louisiana. Donna Isaacs grows fresh food for our community, while leading planning, education, and outreach. Her goal is to grow healthy vegetables, fruits, and herbs and raise animals in a way that takes care of the land and the people who eat the food.

How We Farm

We use permaculture — working with nature instead of against it. Healthy soil grows strong plants, and strong plants make better food.

Soil-First Growing

We feed the soil with compost, plant diverse crops together, and skip harmful chemicals — practices that produce stronger food year after year.

Pasture-Raised Animals

Sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, and quail live on pasture. Each animal plays a role — managing grass, providing eggs, building soil — in a balanced farm where everything works together.

Family-Run, Community-Centered

Run by Donna and Waylon with the help of our community. We share what we know through our CSA, farmstand, education, and partnerships across Louisiana.
