Meet Donna and Waylon

DeLaTerre Permaculture Farm is a 43-acre family farm in Eros, Louisiana. Donna Isaacs and Waylon Breaux grow fresh food for our community — Waylon focuses on growing the food, while Donna leads planning, education, and outreach. Together we grow healthy vegetables, fruits, and herbs and raise animals in a way that takes care of the land and the people who eat the food.

How We Farm

We use permaculture — working with nature instead of against it. Healthy soil grows strong plants, and strong plants make better food.

Soil-First Growing

We feed the soil with compost, plant diverse crops together, and skip harmful chemicals — practices that produce stronger food year after year.

Pasture-Raised Animals

Sheep, goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, and quail live on pasture. Each animal plays a role — managing grass, providing eggs, building soil — in a balanced farm where everything works together.

Family-Run, Community-Centered

Run by Donna and Waylon with the help of our community. We share what we know through our CSA, farmstand, education, and partnerships across Louisiana.
